12/29/12 – I so much enjoy poetry. I believe in it. Poetry is everywhere, not just in written form. The world we live in is filled with verse. A gentle summer breeze will stir leaves within a forest and quietly whisper calmness into my ear. The trickling of a creek serenades a family of sleeping finches. Clouds delight the eye as they move across a deep blue sky.
Have you ever gazed out over the stillness of water and witnessed a fish rise, splashing down and sending ripples out into infinity? The sound of a baby giggling, a meadow of wild flowers reaching toward the sky; the long low howl of a wolf crying at the moon building into a great crescendo; It is all poetry in a precious form.
Over the years I have enjoyed reading, reciting, and writing poetry. I am currently working on a coffee table book of photographs and poetry, which I hope to have published in 2013.
The links below are poems I have written which have been published by Yahoo Voices. Click on the image to see the art. Click on the link to read the poem.
